A Certified Verification
Did YOU ask the collector for anything? Or did you ask the CRA for validation? I had this happen too, and my take is -- the CRA asks for validation -- they send a requst to the creditor and they in turn decide this would be a GREAT way to draw you BACK into a Contract that is NOT valid! I ignored them -- but I did, with my next letter to the CRA, instruct them that this was NOT a dispute, but a request for Validation of the information they were providing about me. They were not to send letters to the creditors in MY behalf, but on their own -- to validate THEIR information, or, if they could not get validation -- to delete it and notify me of that action. Now the other thing that I am concerned about with the CRA is that they are not getting living soul validation - but CIS -- computer information system verification of name, address, phone number etc. this is NOT validation! As a matter of course, I write back when they say they have verified and "this is your account" and ask them to supply the name, direct number and mailing address for the living soul who provided the validation AND the process by which it was validated. As you can tell by my previous threads, I must be doing something right -- 27 deletions for me, 26 for my spouse, and 9 for my daughter -- and I'm just getting started there. I want four more off of mine and my spouse's CR -- and then I will be happy. For now --
Hope this helps.
