discharge method

I have learned of two methods to discharge credit card bills. One the adversareal which you send letters (administrativ process) asking questions (which the banks cannot answer without giving away what they are really doing). The other non-adversareal where it is to be discharged by bond through the department of treasury.

Any thoughts or ideas from anyone on which way works best for them?

PERSONALY, I'M STICKING TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS. SO FAR I'VE HAD SOME GOOD RESULTS BUT A COUPLE ACCOUNTS KEEP GETTING SOLD TO OTHER COLLECTORS .

I UNDERSTAND THE CRA'S ARE A BIGGER CHALLENGE.

MOST LIKELY THERE WILL BE LAW SUITS FILED AGAINST THEM IF THEY KEEP PLAYING DUMB.

THE OTHER METHOD YOU MENTION SOUNDS LIKE REDEMTION/PATRIOT STUFF. I REALLY NEVER UNDERSTOOD IT COMPLETELY AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE BONDS THROUGH THE DT.

MOST PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM ARE MOVING AWAY FROM REDEMTION FROM WHAT I GATHER.

Jetts,

Welcome to the forum!!!

Charles said it best.

Before doing anything with credit cards--dmeand that they be verified. Verify the debt. that is what you tell the CRAs. Give them 90 days and keep demanding the same thing. Respond appropriately to their bull**** but, keep demanding verification.

This is in accordance with USC 15, Chp 41.

Always end your letters with code cited and case law. Don't request they do something--tell them what to do. The code does that for you.

Have fun.
