If you are making payments...

on your mortgage or other "debt" such a car loans etc... if you want to eliminate the past credit history that has been reported to the CRA's. Will the same Certified Verification to CRA's work to eliminate past history up to the present? Will the CRA's report just new data or past after you have the current file deleted etc.... Just wondering how I can attack these accounts..... Thanks!

IF YOU STUDY THE FDCPA YOU WILL SEE THAT THE CRA'S ARE TO REMOVE ANYTHING THAT THEY CANNOT GET "VERIFIED". IF YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL IN HAVING ENTRIES REMOVED YOU MAY SEE THEM COME BACK ON IF THE CREDITOR HAS SENT NEW VERIFYING INFORMATION TO THE CRA'S.

And if that happens, demand to see the "verification" and ask by what process it was obtained, and what living soul signed the affidavit to certify it.

That pretty much wraps it! No one is willing to certify and most times there is NO living soul, only a computer program that checks your name, address, phone and SS# against the account. Persistent requests (likethe squeeky wheel!) get results. I started in March and am stillseeing ongoing results of repeated requests as of last week!

here is the scenario.... I get the CRA to delete all the current info let's say on a CITI Bank card etc.... The next month when it's time to do another report... will they report ALL "old" data OR will they "only" report on that month.

I am a little confused by your question -- CRAs report FORWARD not backwards -- which means if something is deleted, it is deleted, unless (and you can check the FCRA for this procedure) there is evidence that the deletion was in error and should be reinstated.

If you are saying the accounts are currently active and you have some bad history there, ain't nothing gonna change that! They will continue to report the "past due" or "late in the past xx days" I am not aware of a way to get that removed, unless it comes from the account holder.

CRA deletion works best for closed/old accounts -- or accounts that are not yours to begin with ... hope that helps~

for example..... I get all my history deleted from a open account that I still am making paymenys on etc... The next time the creditor gives info to the CRA will they update ALL past history or just that month on the deleted account. Therefore they pretty much are establishing a new account with a new credit history as of the new report. Therefore you only have one month reporting vs all of your past history etc... I would like to get rid of some past credit history etc...

You validated it by continuing to pay. That is why it was put back on!

sending money does not validate a debt nor does that validate proper procedure for obtaining verification. Also that really does not answer what they put back on. Do the "companies" report all the info everytime they report to the CRA or just MONTHLY report just for that month?

If you are making payments

Luke,

Dashboy is correct. If you can answer this question then you should rethink your position on the matter:

If the debt is not valid--then why are sending in payments?

They can prove that the debt is valid if the CRAs ask because all they have to do is show them your monthly payment--so why not report it monthly. Honestly it really doesn't matter what they do if they can't verify it.

Jersee... I understand the point but money recieved does not mean payment of anything that is per someone word not validation it could be a deposit etc.... Do they have proof of what it is for. That means they would have to prove the debt first as money received could be a number of things. My question is though...... WHAT do they report. Do the companies report to the CRA ALL previous months every month or just for that month?
