I guess the Secret Service can't just go raid North Korea, huh?

Kinda takes the lead out of their pencil...

Boy oh boy, those "axis of evil" guys are REALLY asking for it!</sarcasm>

Nice propaganda piece from Fox "News".

I didn't pick up on how they can tell that these 'supernotes' are actually fake? Serial numbers all the same or something?

I hope they don't draft me for the Iran and N. Korea invasion until spring time. I hear winters are a bitch there, I have enough trouble with them here in Maine.

With or without that going on, the FRN (aka USD) is losing confidence on grand scales...
Today it's at
33 year low against the canadian dollar,
13 year low against the japanese yen,
19 year low against the euro dollar,
23 year low against the swiss franc,
23 year low against the australian dollar.

I say betting against the FRN is a solid winning position.

IIRC the US gubmint sold an alitlaia (sp) press to the shah of Iran in the mid to late 70's. Though the technology has changed, these presses may still be in use. I have worked in the printing industry and though there are new digital pre-press technologies emerging constantly, there are plenty of shops running on 50-60 year old presses, just like old machining and milling equipment or old generators. This stuff just doesnt wear out..

SO, if someone figured out how to make the paper glow under UV light and insert the little security thread things, watermarks are not that hard to do....it should be relatively easy with ample resources to copy an FRN.

The funniest part about the whole thing is that the FED prints 'money' and imparts value on it by putting it into circulation. Yet if another country tries the same thing, they get their knickers in a twist...
