Notice and Summons

Greetings to all Sui Juris members and non members.

I have received a Notice and Summons delivered by the Sheriff to my home. I'm being sued for returning a car voluntarily a year or so ago. The problem is , I have let the N/S go into dishonor by not responding in time, and need to know what to do next. there is a affidavit of claim on file at the courthouse. If it helps any,I have copy written my name and captured the strawman. I know I have to respond but how, and is it to late? Whats Next?

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

If the court has not yet entered a default, just file your response. Even if it is late, the court will accept it and the burden will be on the plaintiff to move the court to reject it as too late.

If the court has already entered a default, you need to move to vacate the default.
