If a debt collector sends a dunning letter about a debt that is out SOL, you respond in writing that this alleged matter falls outside the SOL and any further communication from them concerning this matter will result in possible legal action. Of course you send CC copies to the attorneys general of your state and their state.
That should shut them down immediately, if not, its a simple matter to file suit with your local courthouse against them for FDCPA violations and collect an easy grand.
P.S. Dont forget to demand that any false derogatory remarks in your credit file MUST be removed as well! That
constitutes damages against you as well.
