Letter Regarding Charged Off Account
A friend of mine received the attached letter and form. As well as a canceled check made out to Chase bearing what could be my friends signature. The letter is the result of my friend putting a dispute on the account with the CRA's. In reviewing a credit report my friend found in the "Account History" regarding this account: Charge Off as of May 2008. You'll see that the letter from Chase is dated June 2008.
Now, it is my feeling that she should definitely not fill in the bottom of the form for it will put her back in contract with Chase.
Also, she was contacted by a CA prior to this. I am of the belief that it is now between her, the CA and CRA. Simply ignore the letter.
