Jurisdiction Mess Help

Here is my mess.

We bought a commercial Sprinter Van from a Dodge dealer in Michigan we used it in our business (no lemon laws apply). We broke down in Bowling Green Ky. The van sat there for 4.5 months because the servicing dealer lied to Dodge and us about the condition of the engine. We were forced to give the Van back to Chrysler finance. They Repoed & sold the van (IN) Kentucky, at a dealer repo auction and then it was sold on E-bay.com for a $10,000 profit. My question is this; We feel This repair was inter-state business. How would this effect were I sued the dealer for fraud, In Michigan Fed court or in Kentucky. We are also being sued by CCA from MI. Yep it's a mess

Thanks J Rogers.

You need to find a consumer advocate attorney. As this is a somewhat "complex litigation" problem. Multiple parties, multiple issues, multiple states. They have the computer programs to effectively deal with an issue like this. The chumps that are comming after you will be employing those same said computer programs to secure a summary judgement from the judge, and he will go right along with it. Also make sure that they have exactly named the correct parties in their suit, because if they have not then they will stand a very good chance of not being able to steal any money from you(which is good). Also if they have made any mistakes anywhere in their complaint, you could move the court for a dismisssal due to lack of subject matter jurisdiction. Find a competent attorney!
