CRA's won't response

Hello Forum,

I just have some questions. Has anyone experienced the CRA's refusing to provide you with a credit report or even communicate with you through their 1-800 numbers? I am not sure what I should do. I have 2 entries on my report that were deleted by Equifax and Experian but are still being reported by TransUnion. I have one entry that all 3 are reporting by the acct number is not listed just the name of the alledged creditor and balance. I have asked for the verification documents they have to continue reporting these entries and have continued to write letters asking for verification but they will not do it. This is going on 120 days now. Any opinions on this subject is appreciated. I am not seeking legal advice.

Having not seen the letters you are sending, it is hard to ascertain what you have or have not done. Likewise, their repsonse -- what are they telling you -- STOP calling them and START wrting letters and CC some people like Jerseee suggests -- I think there is a recent thread regarding this --
I am currently working to get all three to have 'in-line' reports -- ie -- all reporting the same -- not an easy task when one or two will actually correspond with you while one pretends they never heard from you at all.

So review what you have done and said to date, what their response was -- and how big a 'growl' you put in your letters -- this will give some direction -- do a search and read withing this forum and you'll find a wealth of info!

Thanks for your response. Below is one of the letters I sent. I just can't seem to get all 3 CRA's to report the same thing. 2 of the CRA have deleted ProCollect but TransUnion is still reporting? Any thoughts on how to get all 3 to report the same thing?

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Good day! I have received your response regarding the investigation conducted on my commercial person’s credit report. I want to thank your organization for ensuring that only accurate and current information is maintained.
Your organization has indicated that the following items listed below are “Verified, No Change”. Can you please provide the verified validation documents used to continue reporting these items for my review? I am not disputing; I just do not recognize and would like your assistance in ascertaining the validity of the items in question.

Alleged Creditor Alleged Account Number Alleged Balance
ProCollect
Citibank
UNLV
MBNA

I have not been successful in my attempts to get clarification or certified validation of the alleged debts from the alleged creditors in order to satisfy or dispute the alleged debts. It is impossible to dispute an alleged debt without certified validation and to do so would be admitting that the alleged debts are valid without any validation on your part, since your organization is reporting this information to requesters with or without my consent. Accurate and legitimate information being reported on my commercial person’s record must be paramount. This is not a dispute. I cannot dispute something that is not accurate; therefore, this verification is in accordance with USC 15, Chapter 41, subchapter III.

Moreover, to remain in honor, I will provide the disinterested third party listed above, with courtesy copies of this letter to avoid any misunderstandings. This action is ethical, logical, and just. Thank you for your prompt attention in this matter. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely with honor,

fastej

Talking a start

Re: Verification of Account Information: FILE # XXXXXXXXXXXXX

I am in receipt of your correspondence dated XXX, xx, 2005. Thank you for your investigation so far, however it still remains non-responsive to my request. I have repeatedly requested certified validation of the information being reported on these entries and if obtained, a certified copy of that validation as well as the name and direct contact information of the living soul signing the statement regarding personal knowledge of said information. Contained in the above referenced correspondence is the phrase “ If interested, you may also request a description of how the investigation was conducted along with the NAME, address and telephone number of anyone we contacted for information.” That information is herby requested and expected.

"Moreover, to remain in honor,"

You do not need to mention anything about "honor". Just don't do it. Read the sentence again and leave out that portion. It still makes sense. I posted this suggestion to someone else a long time ago. Remember this: they don't have any honor and don't give a crap if you do. If you were dealing with honorable men then you wouldn't have such a difficult time ... because they would abide by the law and NOT list anything that is NOT properly verified.
