New Guy, CRA VOD Questions
OK, I have my three letters printed out and was wondering, have most of you sent them certified mail?
Thanks for your help.
Where on the site would I find out how to use the VOD w/CPN? I guess a better question would be Where could I gather information so that I can make an informed action?
BTW, What are the following:
CTC3?
Thanks, and I LOVE this site!

Re:New Guy, CRA VOD Questions
HB,
Please refer to the cheat sheet linked to below, it will tell you what CTC3 is, which is the source you should consult if you wish to understand the VOD w/CPN.

Re:New Guy, CRA VOD Questions
re "certified mailing"
Can't remember who it was (post office chap, gov't agent), but someone I was talking to recently said they advise AGAINST certified mailing, but strongly prefer using the "proof of mailing."& Said that lots of "persons" (gov't, corporations, etc) routinely refuse any and all mail for which they have to sign because they know, or reasonably expect, the sender is, in essense, compiling "evidence," documenting a paper-trail, and so forth.
Some "persons" out there are getting paranoid, I think. Maybe the Watcher is realizing HE is the one being Watched!

Re:New Guy, CRA VOD Questions
When sending something very important, I use registered mail with the green card. I have never had BB refuse delivery.
I had a debt collector refuse a mailing once though, but it did them no good. I now have proof that they refused the payment I sent.
I generally use certified mail when sending to the CRAs.

Re:New Guy, CRA VOD Questions
I agree with Sui Juris,
Just because they refuse delivery does not mean that they can say they did not get it. This is a perfect example of "accepting" their refusal.
Plus it is evidence against them either way. Whether they accept or refuse.

HENRYBOWMAN ET. AL.:
JUST FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH, LUCY SENT CERTIFIED MAIL, RE: TAX STATUS, TO 2 IRS LOCATIONS, OGDEN, UTAH AND D.C.& THE RECEIPTS WERE RETURNED FROM OGDEN. &THE ONES TO THE D.C. ADDRESS, WHEN TRACED BY NUMBER, SHOWED THEY HAD BEEN DIVERTED TO ANOTHER LOCATION AND NO RECEIPTS HAVE EVER BEEN RETURNED TO HER. & THIS HAS BEEN WELL OVER 3 MONTHS.
INTERESTING.
ALSO,&SHE DIDN'T RECEIVE&THEIR "FRIVOLOUS PLOY" LETTER WHICH WASN'T SENT BACK TO HER CERTIFIED FOR RETURN RECEIPT.& THIS, I GUESS WOULD PUT THEM IN DISHONOR.&
RANDY...DOES THE POST OFFICE HAVE A "PROOF OF MAILING" FORM THAT THEY VERIFY FOR THE SENDER?& I HAVEN'T HEARD OF IT.& DOES IT SAVE SOME FRN'S?

Re:New Guy, CRA VOD Questions
Need the answer to a question, not sure where to look for it, thought you all could help.&
I have sent my CA/BoE and am to the point of beginning the Notarial Protest -- I know the first is sent on the 21 day after the intial mailing, not counting Sundays or holidays.& HERE's the question -- in the NP, it says the time period is ten days between the second, third and issuance does this&include&Sundays?& I have not found one place where it tells me to allow for mailing or that I must discount Sundays or holidays in that portion of the Protest.& Any one?& Those couple days will mean the difference b/t going in to court with a Cert of Dishonor and not -- THANKS!!!

Re:New Guy, CRA VOD Questions
Do what is best for you. I think my Notary counted days as days, not business-only days.
If it helps you to count all days, including Sunday, then go with it. They had 10 days to respond. You probably gave them the option of asking you for more time, in your response, right?
