That's what happens in programs that involve risk.. there is NO guarantee. And besides, why aren't people asking money back from the BROKERS? Afterall, most people gave their brokers more money than they gave Dorean.

I do not believe the banks are getting richer with what Dorean is doing. It is costing them- big bucks. They have to hire attorneys in almost every case. It is costing them BIG TIME. What a refreshing change.

To the contrary, it probably doesn't cost the banks one penny since their attorney fees in (easily) setting aside the Dorean stuff will simply be taken from whatever equity is in the homes of the idiots that the banks will now foreclose on.

Those people are "dead meat" now that Dorean's attorneys have all walked out on them, and Scott and Kurt won't do much from their jail cell.

In the end, the people who will lose are the people who had equity in their homes since that equity will be eaten up paying the bank's attorneys. And even if there was no equity there, the banks will simply deduct the expenses off their taxes.

So you may fantasize that they are making a difference, but like so much on this board that doesn't match up to reality.

Hell, it's just a few thousand people spread over a few dozen banks anyway, so maybe one bank gets stuck fighting 100 cases out of the hundreds-of-thousands of loans that it processes each year.

Then, the borrowers will be stuck with all this on their credit records, meaning that nobody will ever loan them money for a house again.

And I'm stating now... for the record... until there is positive proof that a process absolutely does away with a "mortgage" other than the use of FRN's and the current "credit" scheme... don't bother with it.
