Neither the Judiciary Act of 1789 nor the Act of 1831 provides the authority for a federal judge to circumvent the requirement of referring the issues of fact or law to a jury for contempt - the same for any other criminal or civil judicial proceeding. Originally, Congress limited contempt through summary attachment to negate of all other modes of punishment. Due to judicial abuse of the contempt power, the Act of 1831 limits the power of the federal courts to punish contempts to misbehavior in the presence of the courts, “or so near thereto as to obstruct the administration of justice,” to the misbehavior of officers of courts in their official capacity, and to disobedience or resistance to any lawful writ, process or order of the court.

Congress has not changed those limitations and procedures on the federal judiciary. Its not a far stretch that the various state Constitutions do not allow "judges" to use the contempt power to intimidate, threaten, or imprison a person simply because a judge doesn't like what is being said.

Notice the NON-Helpful replies from "judicus maximus beanous"
Does anyone else see the defective personality that is so observably
demonstrated by this brand of of anti social individual known as a "bureaucrat"? A real demonstration of a mental disorder known as
Narcissistic Personality Disorder. His grandiosity and omnipotence being displayed, as he quips about "meeting new and interesting people", He must, as
all of his kind (countless millions across this "nation" alone) assert his
superiority at the expense of anyone that comes in contact with him.
His dire need to hide his shame, by shifting it to others, will cause him when he is thwarted in this, to fly into a rage (i.e. contempt of court, sanctions, longer jail sentances meted out, etc.)
that makes him unreasonable and dangerous (like many of the people who are hauled in front of him, also suffering from the same disorder) judgemental, condensending, his emotional state fixed at about the age of twelve to eighteen months, so he is incapable of any real empathy, or compassion, or love for his fellow man, because we are all just exstentions of him and are to be "used" accordingly. He does not deserve scorn or pity (his condition will get worse with age) He like
virtually all other bureaucrats needs medical help. But in this age of PPO's and "managed(mangled)
healthcare" there will be no help forthcoming as is too expensive, plus the extended amount of time it takes to treat someone for this disorder (they don't have a "problem", you have the problem) So instead, doctors treat depression, addictions, eating disorders, acoholism, uncontrolable anger, etc. as these are only the symptoms, quicker and easier to "treat" but it does not address the underlying issue which is N.P.D. Re-read the good judge's posts and you will get an insight into the mind of person desperately fighting insanity. At everyone elses expense (condensending remarks, and no real help in
educating people as to how to properly conduct litigation. Nor any direction on where to look, even to start the journey)

Way to go materduke!

I looked up NPD on answeres.com and I think that in its diagnostic section, it's
describing 95% of the members of all three branches of the gov.
