Signature on Return Receipt

Isn't one of the objectives, besides having doc. that the letter was received, of sending certified mail with return receipt, to have a signature of a flesh and blood person? What about the stamped signature that I just got on mine or the Stamp that says "Transunion LLC"??

No, it's just proof that it got to where you intended it to go.

It probably went to a central mail room and just like sending it to the IRS, got rubber stamped by a mail clerk. Might try the restricted delivery option, but even then it's probably a crap shoot.

Signature is not handwriting.

Signature authenticates a document.

Their stamp authenticates that the mail was delivered.

With the volume they receive it would be impractical to have people sign for all of them. What you have is proof of the delivery of an envelope to that address. I have seen situations where a party produced an "original" version of a document that didn't match what the other party allegedly received. Unless everyone stipulates to the pertinent content in those circumstances, it's challenged and might be tossed.

Everyone should be careful with word processors and managing multiple versions and drafts of letters.
