My Response to Transunion. Opinions

Transunion wrote the following:

Thank you for contacting Transunion. Our goal is to maintain complete and accurate information on consumer credit reports. We have provided the information below in response to your request.

Re: Verification Documents not Available

We store information in our records as it is supplied to us by our creditors. When information is disputed, we are required to investigate and record the current status of the information. We do not provide dispute verification responses received from creditors. If you need to obtain documentation or written verification concerning your accounts, then please contact your creditors directly.

*******

It then goes on to list what can be reported, blah blah blah.

I am thinkinf of the following response, and would appreciate opinions on it:
**********

Dear TU:

Thank you for informing me that verification documents are not available for the following accounts:

Alleged Creditor: Alleged Account #:
XXXXXXXXXX 123456-789
XXXXXXXXXX 78912345-6

Since you cannot provide certification for the accounts listed above, I am requesting that they be removed from my commercial person's report for my commercial person's well being. I am making this request in accordance with USC 15, chapter 41, subchapter III, sections 1681e, 1681g, 1681i, 1681n, 1681o, and 1681s.

Please inform me of your actions.

Sincerely,

HB

What are your thoughts on the above letter.

I consider this the 3rd stage of the process:

1st letter was blanket Certifiec Verification letter,

2nd was item by item Cert Verification ltr.

this one is asking them to remove their feet from their mouths.

All reference the code.

HB,

You are on the right track.& But you should also ask a few more questions, such as:

How can they verify something and not provide you with the same verification?

How can you be sure that they are reporting the same information that you are receiving?

Did they know that copies of documents does not constitute verification?

What is the big mystery as to why they cannot share the investigative results but they can disseminate the results of an alleged investigation?

The word that comes to mind is conspiracy.

Actually, I think the letter is good ... they did say that they could not provide verification... so... they must remove those items according to the code.

What Judge would argue with that logic? (oh yeah, I forgot... the Judges work for the bad guys... right).

My Response to Transunion. Opinions

Ok guys I just got the same exact letter HenryBowman got about not having verification documents available from Trans Union. They just relisted the alleged debt and added phone numbers and said basically to contact them myself. Looks like they photocopied Henry's letter and sent it to me!!! Anyway here is my response. Please critique it and tell me if it sounds argumentative and what I can do to fix it.!

Subject: Certified Verification

Dear Trans Union,

I have received your response dated June 23, 2004 (File Number 123456789). You have informed me verification documents are not available for the alleged debt/entries listed in my previous letter to you dated June 17th, 2004 which is attached. Since verification documents are not available to you, how can you be certain the information supplied to you by alleged creditors is accurate, factual, and true? Is it your policy to report consumer credit information for which you have no verification documents in support? Since you have made it clear that there are no verification documents available, I am requesting that you remove the alleged debt/entries listed in my previous letter dated June 17th, 2004, from my consumer credit report. I am making this request in accordance with USC 15, Chapter 41, Subchapter III, section 1681e, 1681g, 1681i, 1681n, 1681o, and 1681s.

As stated in my previous letter to you, I am not contesting the liability of any alleged debt/entry listed on my consumer credit report, nor is this a dispute of any alleged debt/entry. There is no possible way that I can dispute what may or may not first be validated by your agency. Therefore, certified verification is needed so that I may stay in honor and immediately satisfy the alleged debt or address the potential fraud. The basis for certified verification is 15 USC 41 V Sec 1692g, The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (Sec 1601), and The Fair Credit Billing Act. Thank you in advance for processing my above request.

Sincerely with Honor,

dashboy!!!

Gotta love that Jerseee guy for his expertise in these matters!!

Dashboy,

YOu've got it!!! Send that sucker certified mail or registered mail and make sure the accountable mail number is on the letter so you can reference your return receipt with it after it comes back signed and accepted.

Oh yeah, you don't have to say "Dear" or "Thank you"--let the bastards do their job without any praise or show of sincerity. IMHO

And you don't need that blurb about "honor". They don't give a crap about that and there isn't any reason to mention it.

omit: "stay in honor and"
