The Baby Boomer Consumption Index (MLFOY) contains companies that participate in various health care and health care-related businesses that may benefit from the continued aging of the generation of consumers commonly referred to as “baby boomers”. The index was initially determined to yield a level of 100 after the close on August 30, 2006.

New York, August 31, 2006 - The American Stock Exchange (Amex) today began trading Merrill Lynch's Strategic Return Notes Linked to the Baby Boomer Consumption Index.
Priced at $10 with an initial offer size of 4.2 million shares, this equity trades under the ticker symbol MFY and has a maturity date of September 6, 2011.
The notes are issued by Merrill Lynch. The Amex spe******t unit is LaBranche Structured Products, LLC.
