I was thinking as I have been studying stuff today - and an experience came to my mind that, had I been more questioning - I could have come to the realization that there was more to the system than meets the eye. Telling my story so that maybe it will help others to see, from a different angle, how "money" is so easily created.
When I was in college I worked at the school and didn't make much money withthe campus job. I received a paycheck for 9.50 one day in Feb. I deposited the check into my checking account. Off I went on Spring Break on a Habitat for Humanity trip. Upon withdrawing money with my ATM card my balance shows over $1000! Hmmm, something's not right.
Call the bank and after many correspondences, they finally agree to send us a copy of the deposit. The deposit they claim that brought the account up to over 1grand was for 950 - and the check they sent us was that 9.50 check. All this time, the bankers are encouraging us to spend the money, because it must be ours. We wouldn't spend it.... then we showed them the check and they said they don't know how the balance got to be so high, but the money was there so just spend it. We tried many times to get it corrected, but they wouldn't. So after about 1-2mos not spending it, we finally gave in

HEY they told us to! (WORST mistake ever- we didn't get that part in writing from them)
2 more months go by and all of a sudden our account is -1000+ They audited their books, found their mistake, and wanted their $$ back and started returning checks! So we had to use a CC to cash advance and bring the account to almost 0 balance. Here started all our debt problems.
I guess, what it shows to me is how they create money out of thin air. They just have to write something and it's there. No accidentaly putting someone else's money in my account - just "credit" the account and WALAH!!
