Is a charge off a credit?

I posted something I found looking through a bunch of discover cases. It seems that after the accounts are charged off, the balance goes down to zero; which indicates a credit to the account. The attorney actually entered the account statement showing a zero balance as an exhibit! Balls if you ask me!

Judge Roy Bean your thoughts would be greatly appreciated since we discussed this previously.
