Summons came today Check it out.

The fourth and fifth amendment, preventing you from testifing against yourself, does NOT apply in civil court. You have every write to ask them to verify your debt (Uninifiorm Commercial Code) and if they don't answer the questions that you have sent, properly notorized, then their lack of response stands as premafacia evidence against them in court in that you have attempted a good faith effort to resolve the issue and they merely ignored you, they dishonored you. It's called discovery and you have EVERY right in the world to expect them to answer and if they don't, you have every write, along with the jury, to expect the purpose of their lack of an answer to be for the purpose of deception. You really need to get Richard Cornforth's material.

Lindsey,

I have Cornforth's material, and I like it. I have incorporated a little of that into my stuff, but the main thing is that they haven't provided certified verification.

I went down to the courthouse and what they had included was just a copy of a statement. Not good enough.

I have asked them three times now, and they haven't given said verification.

I'd like to see the look on their face when the judge agrees with me and they lose.

Well then, you've won already. Their silence is evidence against them and the UCC says that any bill contested stands as void until proof of service is provided (or something to that effect.) You'll probably be disappointed in that they probably will not even show up over $200.00.
