On a more serious note, substituting the trustees is a MUST in this case. I wouldnt put it past the dynamic duo to attempt use assests in these trusts they have helped to create to supplement their defense fund! Some friends of mine who did start the DG program have filed the papers to relieve Kurt/Scott and have placed trusted family members in their stead. This way they still have the trust as an asset management tool.

they could file a motion.

I am Captain Kurt and I wish to be beamed up to the drive up window of the bank of Latvia, otherwise I am forced to sell DVD's and videos to my clients so I can help pay from my insanity defense in court

Don't jump to conclusions.

When dealing with litigants or defendants who exhibit odd behavior or demonstrate they adhere to really strange, unsubstantiated beliefs (i.e., that they are a diety, that the court is a tool of the New World Order, etc.), it's a given that the Judge is going to get professional medical evaluations before allowing them to proceed, particularly on a pro se basis.

Letting someone who isn't professionally evaluated function pro se can open doors to all kinds of mischief and potential appeals.

LOL!!

No...at least in the Federal criminal courts. Johnson is as slick as they come in person, but he's apparently adopted a stance where he sees himself as a martyr and operating under the guidance of Christ in this crusade.

That all falls apart though if you go back to 2004 and early 2005 where it was all legal bravado and swagger.

We'll never get to see the eval, but in the coming weeks Judge Alsup will get to find out what trained professionals think. And then he gets to decide whether or not they will have a public defender.

TDG marketing from free and clear titles to: http://paulag.home.coastalnet.com/gi...der%5b1%5d.pdf

I like the part about the defendants have made multiple statements which suggest they may suffer from some mental defect or disease (there is a real surprise for you) after making statements they believed they are in contact with Jesus and that he told them he was burning 3 judges houses down.

Can we watch the trial?

I wish this stuff was on the national news stations (i.e., FOX, CNN, MSNBC and the like). I'm just dying to hear the day to day events when it comes time for testimony and arguements. Besides, I think the public has a right to know about these kind of thieves.
