MIS-HANDLING THE COLLECTION CASE IN MICHIGAN by Steven A. Harms
The author of the book mentioned above who, as Shoonra has slathered acolades of praise for his juristic genius has himself fallen afoul of his beloved occupation. Yes it seems ol' Steve Harms has been tagged for mishandling a collection case here in Michigan and has been sued by the defendant he was attempting to screw. And yes, the Plaintiff/Defendant prevailed against Steve A. Harms, the dirty useless fink! Life is GOOD!

I would love to read it, and/or read more about it! Can you cite the name of the case or provide a link to it for us?

I am hoping to get more info in a few days from the attorney who told me this story. He didn't have time to elaborate. I will post more stuff as soon as I get it.

Side note; Supreme Court Justice Warren Burger once said, "85% of all lawyers are INCOMPETENT to practice law". Even that percentage may be giving them to much credit??

LOL. Right you are. And remember that the famous imposter Frank Abagnale (Catch Me if You Can) passed the BAR without even attending law school and posed as a successful attorney for awhile. I think some pro se's and paralegals are far better equipped intellectually than many members of the bore...er... BAR.

JRB, Katz is a total creep who must have some major "pull" to be able to skate as he did. I remember that joke sentence he recieved and my wife (after getting worked by our local district judge even after major mistakes by wolpoff) just totally losing ALL FAITH in the lousy judicary that is offered to the public! Another story here in Sterling Heights, Mi. concerns a council member caught with onces of blow and also found to be distributing Drugs at parties (special K, blow, etc.) and that clown recived SIX MONTHS PROBATION for his crime!!! He had to resign his council post(boo hoo) but gets to keep his healthcare and retirement pension. Life is good for that weasel! Wonder if any of us would be treated that well by the doughnut gobblers and all the rest of the merry men of Nottingham....... I don't think so! And yes JRB, it is cold up here, "Endless Winter". Gee, I used to live the "Endless Summer" lifestyle.. What Happened????

Some more tidbits concerning Steve Harms and the class action suit that was filed against his law firm. Seems a judge in western Michigan did render a decsion that, yes Steve had indeed violated the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act as well as moving to summary judgement without the benefit of trail in some cases. The Judge was not amused by his ruthless disregard for the laws and procedures. Greed is Good. There is more to this story and I'm waiting to get that info which I will post.
