SJ;

Wondered about your success with the deletion of inquiries -- any luck? Things to share?

My personal experience with the CRA's was full deletion of all the inquiries upon a request similar to the one posted above. Also, they placed a fraud alert on the account for about 90 days or so which makes it difficult for anyone to get your report, including myself.

I believe these inquiries have a derogitory effect on one's credit score, so this would be the last step when polishing the credit report.

SJ;

When I first began my foray into CRA land, I requested a security freeze (which they told me couldn't be done) and they did put a fraud alert on my report. I am appalled at the number of inquiries on my daughter's account as two credit cards and one of her student loan providers run one every month. Do you think there is a way to stop that? They say it is authorized use, but it seems excessive to me! Any ideas on this would be appreciated.

did they give you any hassle about the identity theft suggestion?

Thanks.
