CRA's verifying a debt

Does anyone know What information a CRA requires from a CCC to "verify a debt?"


Can a CC company just say we have this person's name and this person's ss# so therefore it is their account,

or do they have to provide copies of statements, contract etc. to the CRA to prove the account is verified?
