Debt Collector

Well, an account has been sent to collections. The dumb f**ks.

background:
moved.
notice of full payment or collections (60 days later).
letter - refuse collections and tender payment item (bond) for full amount.
collection letter received within a week.

This is going to be fun.

Fraud, unjust enrichment, coercion, ... i am sure there are more.

Correspondence back to DC

The undersigned is in receipt of your correspondence dated 24 August 2006. It would appear ENMAX has made a severe mistake in transferring this settled account to your corporation. Full payment was tendered to ENMAX on 17 August 2006.

The undersigned has not seen or been provided any evidence there is a contract between the undersigned and your organization. If there was a contract, the undersigned would immediately demand verification of the debt and validation of the debt. If your correspondence dated 24 August 2006 is your offer to contract, you have made an error and forgot to include a payment item. Which to the undersigned's belief is against the Fair Trading Act Section 6(2)(a) , 6(2)(c).

You are hereby noticed by way of this correspondence that all communication directly or indirectly from your organization related to this matter shall be deemed harassament and subject to a $10,000.00 per page fee, payable upon receipt of invoice.

I'll bet they figured your "bond" was pretty much worth the paper it was printed on.

They can "figure" all they want. Doesn't change the outcome.

If you don't think they're worth anything, I have a list of organizations that would be happy to use them to help other people.

A piece of paper was sent from the CRA and a three page response was required. Page 4 of the response was an invoice for $40,000.00
