Ford Motor Corp. Handing Out Global ID's

I received this post from whoru@yahoogroups.com;

I am John S. I work at Ford Motor Co. I work in material
handling, but that is irrelevant. Recently and without warning from
union officials, Ford management began to hand out "Global ID's" with
our paychecks. They wished us to sign for them, but the card had
already been created with our "name" and global ID number. I refused
to accept the card or sign for the card. I did ask the question as to
why employee's were getting "Global ID's?!" The most popular response
was "due to Identity theft through Social Security numbers", although
only last 4 numbers of Soc. Sec. are ever posted on a time sheet in
the plant. They then wished to know why I was refusing such ID. They
had previously been intructed to make a notation of why employee's and
which employee's refused to accept the "ID", on another piece of
paper, which they (management) were instructed to turn in at the end
of the shift. The simple answer, that they might understand,
is, "it's against my religion!" I did not wish for any kind of
attention, but the area manager seemed genuinely curious as to my
refusal of the "ID". I explained to him, "I am not a member of
any "Global" organization nor do I wish to be, (except maybe global
healing society). I explained to him, "had Ford chosen to give me a
Ford ID number, I would have accepted it", although I still wouldn't
have signed for it. I didn't tell him that last part. I told
him "it's just more new world order crap and I didn't want any part of
it!" After all isn't Ford, "Ford" first and foremost before
it's "global"?!! What does global mean anyway?
As you might have guessed, that was the other answer to the
question, "why should I accept the 'Global ID'?"
I have since learned why the area manager looked at me so perplexed.
Nobody but nobody refused the "Global ID" that I know of. When I
would question some of my co-workers as to the "ID" many of them
said, "I didn't know we could refuse it." What sheeple our nation has
become. Most of the people here in this land are on auto-pilot to
destruction and they are oblivious.
I have since tried to find out who has the contract with Ford to
create a "Global ID" and have not had much luck. I've asked
management and union officials, to no avail.
I did look on the internet at several companies that perform this
service for corporations and individuals. Their basic solution to
Identity theft via Soc. Sec. is to marry up any and all information
including social security number to this "Global ID". It then
therefore occurr's to me that one would only have to obtain
one's "Global ID" number in order to find out anything you want about
someone in the "system", thereby short circuiting the whole premise as
to the creation of and inclusion of one into their system.
I realize Ford has a right to do anything they wish within their
company and within the statutes of legality, but my question to you is
must I submit to their imposition of a global identification in order
to keep my job at Ford Motor Company? Thank you for the priceless
education you have provided me throughout the last year.

Sincerely,
John S.
