Does your friend even know the definition (much less) the meaning of "sovereign"?
All of this starts and ends in the mind! If you don't believe who you are, then the powers that be will tell you how you are.
Now if you tell them who you are and they accuse you of being something else--then make them prove their accusations. You can easily prove who you are, just by stating who you are but, this is not necessary since the burden of proof does not lie with you when someone is accusing you.
Your firend needs to learn how to operate in commerce and how to use the strawman the way it was meant to be used. In the meantime, your friend needs to be socking gold and silver away to protect himself.
If you don't think and act as a king/queen--then you are not.
