Well, since this is also about "common law courts" here is a resource list I put together for our Colorado work-study group on the common law/jurial society/ecelesia
----
Perspective- Common Law/Common Law Societies - study sources and links
Here are resources for further study on 'common law societies' (ecclesias).
Some of these materials have been shared at our work-study group. Been gathering this material for years while following "common law"/jurial society/ecclesia movements with interest. Know of other models of established examples with a good foundation and order? Please share.
Existing common law socieites associated with Bob Roberts:

1. "Pied Pipers of Babylon" by Verl K. Speer, DCL (Doctor of Common Law) -- Amazing man ahead of his time. Glossary is priceless. An overview of Common Law and Common Law Systems beyond most I've read. Later expanded in "THE COMMON LAW" coorespondence program Mr. Speer co-wrote for UNIVERISTY LIFE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW. (Not found yet) Here is a link to purchase book for $40 used--out of print--:

From Mr. Speer's book we discover the origins and Development of the Common law: 1. Old Testament, 2. Great Migrations, 3. Society of Free Men, 4. A Common Law Jury of 12, etc. He goes much farther than most in developing the idea of Common Law with detailed history confirmed in my related studies.
2. Since Mr. Speer's history of Common Law starts in the Old Testament also provided an index of Biblical Law by George Gordan -- one of the early trail-blazing "founding fathers" of the misnamed "patriot" (legal reform, lawful remedy) movement. George received more mention in the Anti-Government Handbook (training manual for judges against "patriot" arguments, online at commonlawvenue.com in Documents and Case Law section) than all others combined. Shared as a foundational source of the common practices (i.e. law) that formed the cultures from which "common law" emerged.
3. R.J. Rushdoony's 3 volume "Institutes of Biblical Law" (
http://www.chalcedonstore.com/). These add to the idea of applying this law in community and society:
* The Institutes of Biblical Law - Volume I -- Discusses the
general principles of the law as well as their specific
applications.
* The Institutes of Biblical Law: Volume II, Law and Society --
The relationship of Biblical Law to communion and community, the sociology of the Sabbath, the family and inheritance, and much more are covered in the second volume.
* The Institutes of Biblical Law: Volume III, The Intent of the Law -- “God ’s law is much more than a legal code; it is a covenantal law. It establishes a personal relationship between God and man."
4. The Dallas Abatement and Jural Society Seminar from 1996 with John Quade and Randy Lee. (6 hours of video) Inspired the Rebuplic of Texas and creation of many Jurial Societies. Examples of Jurial Socieities online-
