Changing one's name

Is there any liability or anything else wrong with changing my name? Can I just begin using a different name, make up my own ID, sell all my property in lawful dollars to my new name, and progress from there declaring sovereign status? What possible legal ramifications could result from this if my other name is still a "U.S. citizen"? Do I have to tell the government I am changing my name?

Also, if I send in all my information showing I am indeed not a US citizen, does that by law take effect immediately, or is there some time until I can claim it in full effect?

oh, and the reason I'm asking is there are a TON of traffic offenses which have resulted in bench warrants for my (as of now) US citizen "name", and until i can prepare proper defenses against them, I wish to avoid going to jail.

very good post, and a post most people would not make. under the common law, **** it, under the rules of nature, u can call yourself whatever u want. im about tired of common law too, cuz they dont respect nunthing down at tha courthouse. anyway, back on point, its all about them forcing u to give them fingerprints to "prove" who they say u r. make up your own id, and roll with it. and hide out man. tha game is to either trick u or force u into giving them your name so that they can look it up in their computer.

How could they force you to give fingerprints if you refuse to do it willingly? Can I claim its simply against my religion?

And what if i just sanded off my fingerprints? lol

im talking about if they come to your house or something looking for you with a picture or something and then forcing you down to the jail in handcuffs and fingerprinting you.

I was under the assumption they dont go to one's house over a bench warrant. Also, I've never seen a bench warrant with a picture or even a physical description of the person in question. I'm not taking any more fingerprints, they'll have to knock me unconscious to do that from here on out.

If I change my name I will of course claim a different domicile, in a different name, as it would be stupid for me to use the same house where they could track my name from. Speaking of which, can you claim a domicile in an address that is not your private property?

supreme court said in mississippi v. davis finger prints are private property.

State says all property belongs to the state. Plus, for some reason cops just don't care about your rights.

cptnmrvl welcome to the forum. I concur cops don't give a damn about your rights or anybody else.You just have to stand for what you believing in and fight it. It just a win or lose theory.

Sure, the largest group of people which claim an address which is not their property would be renters. And what about the people who live with family/friends?
