S.S. #s on Assistance Applications...

Yes, Yes, I know... it is best to not use aid. But we are in a dire circumstance and the Church is not taking up its mantle. So what do you do?



Anyway, we're considering Food Stamps and Section 8 for short-term til we can become self-sufficient once more. Here's the catch:



2 Children do not have SS#s - therefore they are not US Citizens just Nationals. They require this on the application and they want to know how many ppl are living in the household. Would we be opening a huge can of worms by applying? Raising unnecessary red flags (I've heard the horror stories of Social Services investigating illegally and taking children)?? Do we put those children on there so they can see we have X number of children? We are Citizens, so we qualify (unfortunately )

You are being asked to commit... and ELIMINATE a DUALITY within YOURSELF.

the work / home tug of war... or the...



You can only have one Master... so choose ! war.



Your ossillation boils down to a lack of Faith.. in HIM and yourself...



Which Master will you follow?



It is a NATURAL LAW... that ALL things seek an equilibrium or balance...



You have a lack... the UNIVERSE will bring you what you NEED and balance it for you... if you will only relax and allow it !



The answer you recieve may not be what your ego / pride wants to hear, and it may not arrive in a "timely fashion" based on your ego's clock, but it will be your answer none the less.



then... You alone must choose... between what Spirit tells you... and what your ego does...



I always counsel people to give 110%.....



If you give your 100% and then give a little more...



you become truely emptied !



then... five or ten years later... there is no room for remorse to creep back in... and say.. what if... what if... what if...



Shut off your five senses that create "false images" and get behind your faith and give, give, give... and ask nothing for yourself.



If you still insist on going with BB's aid... then don't tell them about the children... use the aid to feed the kids... and YOU go hungry...

I totally understand what you are going through. Currently I have demons that I am dealing with as well. They are minor in my opinion but demons nonetheless.



Akira is TOTALLY correct and just with his/her post to you. The key to that whole beautiful post is YOU.



You see, redemption does not start and stop with courts and debt--it starts from within a person and never ends. You are being called on by the creator to make a choice.



The most difficult part of this whole process is gaining faith through acceptance. pride is the worst sin of all IMHO. It keeps folks from doing the right things and encourages folks to protect it by their own undoing. Yes a man may never get his pride hurt in public, but it is the battle within that really makes the difference.



I know this sounds preachy but it is actually what you need because now is the time to choose. Don't get side tracked by looking for a way out or complaining about this thread. Instead internalize this and bring it home. make the choice. Ask the question you are afraid to ask yourself and then answer it.



And when you make that choice and truly believe....well my friend, you have just taken the red pill.



This is not to degrade or belittle anyone. Akira said it very well. This is where the rubber meets the road and that choice has to be made. I believe this is why I have a lot of success with redemption personally.

You're probably right. It's the stress of the current living circumstances that has me jumping the gun and not fully looking around. We have been blessed where we've been at for the last (almost) year - and the door is still open. Just have to suck it up I guess.

oh, and I would say pride is the *root* of all sin Saying we are better and can do it better than Yaweh can. Hmph - that is what sin is all about.

I can elaborate on my statement but I thought it was self-explanitory.



Here goes.....basically, if you can accept things as they are and respond appropriately with what you have learned; therein lies your faith through acceptance.



How most folks defeat their faith through acceptance is through arguing. Thus creating a situation that could have never existed if one would just accept the claim and do the critical reading or listening. And return the bad energy from the bad source, instead of accepting the bad energy and creating more bad energy which will prove to be a person's undoing.



In other words, never argue. Accept those things that you cannot change and get the strength to change the things you can.

I live 1/4 mile from my 8 & 9 year old sons, who I haven't even had eye contact with in almost a year and a half....
