Jury Duty

Hi all, well I tried, yet couldn't get out of it this year, but it wasn't that bad. Was for the entire month of August, and was reduced from 3-days to 2-days due to my request to be excused for certain days for Summer parenting time with my son. So I had to go in one day, along with about 30 others..wait around..sit in the courtroom while the judge, prosecution and defense asked, inquired, and eventually whittled away. Came close, yet the 6 persons were selected just two from myself.



The main thing is that I recieved their "check" today..for a measly $14. This is the interesting part: It's from the Judical Dept, and lists me as a Vendor, along with an INVOICE NO. and DO***ENT NO. But here's the kicker, instead of listing a "check" number, it's a WARRANT NO.



Needless to say, I'm not depositing nor cashing this instrument. Call me paranoid, yet seems perhaps a sly and decieving ploy of some sort. Think i'll just screw with their accounting and book keeping by shredding or burning.

  Hello group,
  Thought you might like the update. You might recall that I was "directed to appear" (NO summons) before a NYS Supreme Court Judge today at 2:00 by the Commissioner of Jurors. I was "directed to appear" and threatened with court sanctions for failing to do so, because I could not answer the juror questionnaire sent to me because of several legal terms used (i.e. "Are you a citizen of the United States"). You can read the background in several earlier posts- look for 'jury duty' and 'update on jury duty' as the subject line.
  
  I've ordered the complete transcript and will post as soon as I get it- but here is a paraphrased version of what occurred:
  
  Well- I made the appointment and stood before NYS Supreme Court Judge VanStrydonck (spelling? I'll have to look it up). Everything was 'official'- a stenographer, a court clerk of some sort (she was sitting behind a computer monitor), a peace officer, the Commissioner of Jurors (who did not say but two words- literally) the Judge and myself. No witnesses, no audience. I was NOT sworn in. The judge started off with angry attitude "Mr. xyz, I understand that you have refused to complete your juror questionnaire... why? [paraphrased]" I responded with issues of "I'm addressing this court under my 1st Amendment Constitutional Right to redress and petition my created gov't and I trust this court will adhere to the spirit of the U.S. Supreme Court in Haines v. Kerner as I am not an attorney or member of the body politic or corporate.... [paraphrased]" Judge says- your telling me you don't know what the United States means? I said no sir I do not, at least not in the context of the questionnaire because the U.S. Supreme Court has defined the term United States to have three distinct meanings in Hooven... and the term citizen is used in the questionnaire with a lower case c, while the Constitution uses the term Citizen with a capital C, as I am an American Citizen qualified to be President and serve in the Senate and House by birth on this soil.... but I am not a 14th Amendment citizen (spelled with a lower case c) as that portion of the amendment is a dead amendment according to the Supreme Court in the Slaughter House cases....
  
  That discussion went on for a bit, and the Supreme Court judge said this is "STUPID," these arguments you are raising are "STUPID" (and that is a QUOTE !!!). He went on to say what would happen to our juror system if everyone raised these stupid arguments? I responded to (paraphrased) then our legislature would be forced to define the legal terms that they are using so that the People can truthfully answer, and fully understand the questions they are asked.....
  
  Other issues addressed: We touched on 'quo warranto' under what authority am I 'directed to appear' without a summons, and threatened with court sanctions for failure to appear... am I a slave of my created gov't or am I the Superior Sovereign. (I'm still kickin' myself about this because I did not press the issue re: Superior Sovereign) but the Judge waffled on this and skirted the issue with: you were 'invited' to come to save yourself the hassle of a future judicial summons... yeah right- wait to you read the transcript on this... I then talked about the Commissioners abuse of office and violation of Oath, treating me as slave to command me to come and go at his will- the Commissioner was squirming in his seat at this point, so I knew I hit the nail on the head...
  
  Judge skirted the issue and asked me "what do you want to do here...?" I said I'm petitioning my gov't for answers to legitimate questions that must me answered and no one here, including you Judge will give me any answers.... Judge says: 'Do you want to be stricken from the juror pool- we'll take you off for life, is that what you want' I said NO- I have a Constitutional Right under the 6 and 7th Amendment to serve as a juror for my fellow American Citizens, I am willing and able to serve. The Judge seemed speechless. He then says then sign the questionnaire. I said I can't sign the questionnaire until I have answers to the legal terms being used.... this went back and forth for awhile- Bottom line- Judge says you either answer the questions and sign the questionnaire to be in the juror pool or we'll take you off the list of jurors... I said directly to the judge that is NOT FAIR for you to put me in that position, but I canNOT sign the questionnaire as it is written. Judge says to the Commissioner of Jurors (who has still not said a word) take Mr. xyz off the juror pool list. Judge stood up and walked out of the court room. You should have seen the facial expression of the officer. Priceless. It was a face of shock and awe and confusion. Probably never seen anything like that- the Judge having no answers and walking off the bench.
  
  The outcome was not my goal- but what a great experience... challenging a Supreme Court Judge on legal issues to which he could NOT RESPOND, but only trying to sweep the issues under the carpet. I must say I bumbled and mumbled some of my words- cotton mouth kicked in a few times and some things just did not flow off my tongue the way I wanted... but I said enough to frustrate a Judge and really tick off the Commissioner- who stormed out of the Court room after the Judge had left.
  
  What an interesting day- FOLKS- the issues we discuss here (that Clyde directs us with) are right on- accurate. I saw it working today. Wait till you read the transcript (ALL the details, in the EXACT words used). The judge even said to me 'I don't think there is an attorney in this country that would want you to serve as a juror.' He's probably right- I (we) know to much. They only want the sheeple (the people that act like sheep and do as instructed, without question). And that is of course the problem- as it is People like you and I that NEED to be on juries, because only we can nullify the law and bring our created gov't back to it's limited powers, with the Sovereign in control.... OK- off the soapbox.

The best way I have found to handle this one is first off do not register to vote, as it is only for US citizens. Then if they do send you a summons for jury duty just send them a letter asking if they allow informed jurors to sit on cases. In other words I will be there to rule on both the law and facts. If you still want me let me know. That should take care of you being called for jury duty again as they hate informed jurors.It's that simple.

Your friend's Judge's Property Card was not available, but that could possibly be because he provides the government with their whorehouse, I would guess.

I woulda asked the judge, Judge, are you talking derogatory about me and my questions, in violation of Canons 2 & 3 of The Code of Judicial Conduct?

Hey Judge, if these ideas are so stupid, and you are in firsthand knowledge of that, and you are so much smarter than I am, maybe you should just answer the stupid questions.

Then watch his jaw hit the floor.

My son, (remember, the one 'vacationing with the State'?) received a Juror summons in the mail -- now it said do not forward out of county, so I couldn't send it to him as they have seen fit to transport him 3+ hours away which is definitely out of county, so I responded--

Mr. ALL CAPS is willing and able to serve if you will be so kind as to release him or at least transport him from CCC Correctional Center."

Within two days, in return mail, we recieved "Excused for due cause."

I had to laugh when I read what the judge said. But both the you and the judge said it and hit it on the nose.... No government prosecution attorney, and especially judge would want people like us serving on the jury.

Serving on the jury can put one in a very powerful position to effectuate real change. Can you imagine if many of us answered their silly little questions exacty how they like, just to get on the jury, and then when it is time to hand down the verdict... WHAMO!!! We try the "law" and hold it to the constitution! And if you think you got the judge's undergarments in a bunch with your questions, imagine if you had served on the jury. You well may have forced the presiding judge to CHANGE his undergarments once he heard the jury verdict!

There was a movie that touched on the premise of getting on the jury and then serving your own agenda called Runaway Jury. In the movie the guy did all the right things to get on the jury, and once he did, he threw an enormous curve ball. What if many of us got on juries and pushed on own agenda... our agenda of justice?
