Bouviers Law Dictionary Cites

I am reading through the stuff that onemaster loaded up and I am wondering what the cites at the end of the maxims of law in Boviers are? For instance:

A l'impossible nul n'est tenu. No one is bound to do what is impossible. 1 Bouv. Inst. n. 601.

The part in bold. What does it mean?

Thanks

HB
