Eviction

I am being Evicted and would like to just have my landlord and me involved but she plans to take me to court. I really don't want to go to court because of jurisdiction and I don't want a default judgment on me. What are my choices?

Paying the bill? For starters.

On the other hand, you could file an answer challenging jurisdiction ... which will be summarily denied more than likely ... (I can never figure out why people who live in the State think that they're not subject to the jurisdiction of the courts.)

Or finally, you might try all the presentment for acceptance dishonorable defective negotiable instrument malarky (or whatever the latest craze du jour is) ... and find yourself tossed out.
