PEOPLE, LOOK AT WHAT GEORGIA IS DOING!!!!!!!!

I still cant believe what i just read!! the federal courts are allowing the georgia supreme court to rule on federal questionsof law and amending the state constitution. they are voting on this mess as i type!! i cant believe i slept on this. man, it may be time to leave tha country folks or pack some self defense machinery because stuff is getting outta hand. look at the signs of the times.

Subject: Georgia ICRC Class Action Defeat this Amendment!









It's pretty last minute....I would really like to know when this

amendment got on the ballot, but we need to let as many people as

possible know about it. Here's the text



As you are all aware, Georgia has been sued in Federal Court for

civil rights violations it has committed against non-custodial

parents in the state.



By amazing coincidence, on the November 2d ballot is an amendment to

the Georgia Constitution which could be used to cut off this suit.

The amendment would make the Georgia Supreme Court the authority

over FEDERAL court questions of law.





Article VI, Section VI of the Constitution is amended by striking

Paragraph IV and inserting in lieu thereof a new Paragraph IV to

read as follows:





"Paragraph IV. Jurisdiction over questions of law from state

appellate or federal district or appellate courts. The Supreme Court

shall have jurisdiction and authority to answer any question of law

from any state appellate or federal district or appellate court." (i truly hope this doesnt actually mean that the georgia supreme court will be the ONLY authority to hear these questions like it looks like im reading)

Since when do judges and lawyers care what the law says anyway? Isn't this just business as usual? Why the shock?

Maybe it's time to get outta Georgia ?



The problem is that the States are Sovereign. Remember what that means.



The idea that Georgia would do such a thing may result in "turnover" of its Citizens. A lot will leave because of the screwed up stuff they do... they will be replaced with "new" folks from outside the State ... who will catch on and eventually leave ( maybe go back to where they came from ). This would eventually lead to a great reduction in the number of Citizens living within the borders of Georgia.



But that would take a long, long, long time to come to pass.



Make people aware of what is going on in their State and remind them that if they want to compete with other States for businesses and Citizens... that may not be the best way to do it.

the sovereign thing is exactly what georgia is claiming. the REAL problem georgia has is exactly what you said ice. Atlanta controls the state, and most people in Atlanta are NOT from Atlanta. Atlanta is unique that way. Anyway, Atlanta politics control the whole state and the people are rebelling in atlanta because u got all these upper middleclass men who come to georgia, get divorced and are shocked that they gotta go move to the projects after divorce to survive. ha ha ha It gets tiresome checking on the bmvw all night to make sure its still there ha ha ha
