Schiff trial
For those interested you may want to check out the Schiff trial on trial logs here. The prosecution is realizing the gubmit has no case so now they are resorting to lying to the jury and "essentially telling the jury to disregard whatever favorable testimony may have come from the government's many witnesses and that no matter what the tax law actually says, the jury is to believe the opposite." This is incredible!! In the beginning I thought Schiff was not doing so well. Now I believe he has a real chance of winning this case. GO Schiff!!!

You should see what the slave ship(quatloos) is posting over there.
I will admit that Demo is posting some aspects of the case which Angela doesn't report on, but in Quatloos fashion, mostly aspersions and character assassinations

Yeah, I have been over there. That is typical of Quatloosers. When you have no substance attack the character. The fact is Irwin is doing much better and the attorneys are patting him on the back and telling him so. I like what Lawyerdude says about Irwin, that he knows more about tax law than the judge and is an expert. He also says that Irwin is innocent and those on Quatloosers, of course, are all over him as well.

The jury is very close to deliberating on a verdict. The defense is expected to close today and give to the jury. Let's keep this in our prayers that the jury will bring in a not guilty verdict. I am just praying it is not a rigged jury. The whole trial has been a sham and a joke.

I agree with you, iamfreeru2. I will wish, pray, and cross my fingers, hoping that Irwin, and crew, will overcome this sham trial.

Here is an update for those of you that are intersted. The jury asked for a copy of Cindy Nuen's IR Code book and a fresh copy. Judge Dawson denied the request. This is very good for the defense and may help to render a not guilty verdict. There are, of cource, those on Quatloosers that put a different spin on it and would have us believe sometyhing else.

If the jury had wanted to know about The Law, they would've just asked for the clean copy, or would've just asked for "the law that makes me liable" or whatever they were interested in.
The reason I think that it's good news for Cindy is that it suggests that the jury has some doubts about whether Cindy understood the laws she was breaking, which goes to the issue of willfulness.
If the jury is proceeding through the counts of the indictment in order (a good a way as any), it also suggests that they have already decided at least counts 1-6, which mainly involve Irwin Schiff, and are at least up to count 7, which is about Cindy.
But this is all speculation, and eventually the jury will decide whatever the jury decides.

Time will tell, but seems to me if they are denied acccess to the IR Code book then that will raise serious doubts regarding the guilt of Irwin. Just because the request was regarding Cindy does not mean it will not have an impact on a decision regarding Irwin. The jury is not stipid. Even if the jury has decided Irwin guilty of some of the charges, and there is no indication of this by any means, the court is shooting themselves in the foot by not allowing the law to be shown to the jury. The jury can still acquit Irwin. Spliting hairs and saying the jury has not asked for the law because they did not specifically say they want to see the law is rediculous. What do these guys on Quatloosers think the law is to the jury? Give me a fricking break. If I were a juror I would certainly look at this as the court and the gubmit hiding the truth and would render a not guilty verdit on all counts for all defendants. What a crock this trial has been.
