Mrg is right. There's no discussion of a popular vote amongst the people. It seems we may just have a PR campaign to make to peeps feel warm and fuzzy. Looks like the sheeple haven't a clue (neither did I for that matter).

Not only that, but we do not have a properly elected Vice President either.

Nor do we have constitutionally apportioned Representatives, and we have totally unapportioned popularly elected representatives occupying the Senate, rather than Senators properly elected by the Republic.
