Opportunities men and women

For the most part we the people have dropped the ball..........BIG TIME! with respect to this hurricane. For the most part we the people will get what we deserve if we continue to drop the ball, if this wasn't already the last opportunity.

If we continue to create a vaccum, it will be filled, and we will not care for it one bit.

This was/is a prime opportunity to do that which made the fifty republics great. We may not get too many more opportunities before the second(last) shoe is dropped.

How did We the People drop the ball?

Many private people and organizations are doing what they can to help. I have seen Ifreeru2 say that his church is taking action. I have seen news reports where truck drivers have driven 10 to 18 hours to get supplies to the area. What are you looking for?

I would like make an apology!

I jumped the gun and was harsh about aid being given.
Yes, you are correct, many in the private sector have come to the aid, and I did see where iamfreeru2's church has put together aid. All of which is the best solution. I knew about iamfreeru2 a day or two ago. The statement was never specifically intended for anyone here. Just in general.

I don't like hearing people wringing their hands over the slow response by the federal government. It truly is not their responsibilty, it starts locally then, if need be, the state then, all comers(individual), then the federal government. Even with the magnitude of destruction, I truly believe it should never go beyond the all comers stage. If the federal government has to come to the aid all the time, what does that say? The what does it say is my biggest concern.
