bad songs stuck in your head

list really bad songs that are corny, irritat5ing, but catchy enough to stick to your memory banks like macaroni & cheese that's been sitting out 25 years in a pan.

Today I have Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl" repeating over & over in my head like a broken record. I didn't even hear it today.

Anything after his Nylon Curtain or Glass Houses albums SUCKS

Okay, enough sillyness

But seriously......the song in my head today is "Love Is A Battlefield" by Pat Benatar. Carrie Underwood from American Idol sang it last night and it's stuck in my head.

What is it about the year 1983 that transformed KILLER artists into lame corporate fodder?

That "Uptown Girl" was 1983, also.

During my testosterone overflowed teen years, Pat was the "Rock Babe".

To go from anthems like "Promises in the Dark" or "Hell is for Children" to "Love is a Battlefield" was a HUGE disappointment.

Then from "Love is a Battlefield" to "We Belong" a few years later was like going from bad to worse.

Pathetic

And don't forget about "Hit Me With Your Best Shot". Killer tune with a great guitar solo.

I know Weis. Just wanted to mention it. Hey, my surgery went well and I'm healing really well. I have some mobility back and the most of the numbness is gone. Just my little finger has some numbness, but the ring finger feels normal again. I hope to playing again real soon.

Corny stick in your head song

My oldest daughter was singing this one this morning (Why oh WHY did I teach her this song??)

"This is the song that never ends....
It just goes on and on my friend.
Some people started singing it not knowing what it was and they'll continue singing it forever just because.......
This is the song that never ends....."

Repeat incessantly for several hours and you'll get the idea LOL
