Vendetta
I't was a great movie, but on the down side of that was while sitting in the theater I recieved a strong vibe among the people that they did not understand the point of this movie. Some even complained about to much talk. I was a bit upset about it. I tried to explain to my friends what (in a nut shell) point this movie was trying to make and looked at me as if I lost my mind no matter how I approach the subject. I felt like screaming THIS IS NOT JUST A MOVIE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!! These people who make these movie's go out on a limb for you ,me, and everyone else. On the top side of things this could be the seed that grows in people's minds. As the chain of events happen in our goverment, people will remember the 5th of november. God bless all. Amen

whoooooooo ya!! Great movie!!!! Lots of catholic symbolism in it. I noticed in one scene about half way thru when he and Ev were in his "house" his back to the wall and there is a painting on his wall of the twin towers burning.
The mask idea and dialog was right on target. I will probably go a couple more times.
I highly recommend to all. Oh yea there were people there of all ages.

I loved it. As one site put it "It simply forces us to turn a mirror onto ourselves, and acknowledge how our actions/inactions ripple through the people, and world, around us."
Some really good discussion here about this movie and it's political implications.

Looking at it a little more, I believe we are reaping the harvest we planted back in the late seventies/early eighties.

I've only read reviews. My sis and her husband went; she commented that it seemed a lot like our country today, and he said, "huh?" She usually pays close attention to the messages in movies and gives honest reviews. She said it was good, they'd probably see it again sometime, although there were some things she personally found objectionable.

I'm waiting for the movie to come out on dvd so some of my friends who only speak spanish can see and understand what the movie is about once they have been briefed. People will know the truth whether they like it or not!!! I hope the movie comes in different languages. GOOD MORNING TO ALL.

I thought the movie was fantastic, one of the best movies I have ever seen. I like how the movie illustrated the difference between revolutionary and extremist terrorism.
For those who don't know the difference, revolutionary terrorism is destroying government buildings with the intent of causing minimal (the goal being zero) casualties, in order to foster support for a revolution against an oppressive government. Extremist terrorism is destroying buildings with the intent to cause as many casualties, especially civilian casualties, as possible, trying to make the people suffer for the actions of its government.
Extremist terrorism is obviously ethically wrong, but our government has tried to pin all forms of terrorism under the "evil" label, when clearly, revolutionary terrorism, properly implimented, can have massive positive effects in changing an oppressive regime.

Upon reading the second and third paragraphs The image of a Tall Ship exploding in 'The Patriot' (Mel Gibson) sprung to mind.
I wonder how GDubya would label the actions of Mel and his men in that scene?
