Child Support Purge

Is there any way around a child support purge? I have paid several purges over the past couple of years, though they were low enough and I could scrounge money up at the time.

I do not have the money for one at this time.

Without passing judgment, does anyone know of a way around this; aside from being arrested and spending time in jail before going in front of the judge.

Keep in mind, a Writ of Bodily attachment is an instant pick up (warrant). The accused is not informed of the Writ until he is arrested. The courts are secretive as to the amount of the purge required.

Please help.

purge

if you cannot pay, write up a contract/affidavit of the amount you can pay, offer it to them in the contract, state that you are WILLING to pay, but are only able to offer the amount in the contract. offer it to the responsible party, court or whoever and give them 10 days to respond to the offer. you will not go to jail after doing this. they cannot refuse frns, its not like using a bond, promissary note, etc.

You certainly won't go to jail for making such an offer, but in order for this offer to solve the problem they must ACCEPT it, of course. They might refuse the offer. If indeed you are making a good faith effort, they might do so.

Thanks for the fast replies guys.

What if there is already a Writ with Bodily Attachment issued? I am not certain about there being one, but there may be.
