What to do when your child is Born?

I am starting this to get comments on some of the best insights to initiate when your child is born in reference to Birth Certificate, Social Security card and keeping them out of the system from day one. I would like the Pros and cons and what will be hard on day to day life when attempting to not sign Birth Certificates etc..

Some of my family members went through this sort of issue. They did not name their child in the hospital. The hospital staff put up quite an effort to get them to name the child for some unnamed "protection". First the nurses would try to get a name, then the doctors were called in. When I asked the doctor to state the "protection" that was being offered, there was no reply, other than a strange look on the doctor's face (such as why would anyone ask such a question).

The family remained firm in insisting on providing no name for the child. After this went on for sometime, the doctor informed us that someone would come in to remove the alarm devices on the mother (in the rist band) and child (in the navel band). The mother was not aware that she, or the child, was wearing alarms! After the billing (only) papers were signed, mother, father and child were free to go.

Months later a birth certificate showed up in the mail, in the name of Baby Girl (mother's last name). And sometime after this, I believe, a social security card showed up under the same name. Later someone came to see the child, they were not admitted however. Oh yeah, Baby Girl is not the child's name!

At the end of the consent requests, hospital personnel said "You are the second couple that ever left here without naming [or birth certificating] their child." I know first hand that there are other couples who did not name their children brought forth at other hospitals. See that Jesus was not named until the 8th day (Luke 2:21).

Another important thing, to avoid unconsented needling of baby, always have an able bodied adult watching/guarding the child or else during parents' slumber, the nurses will cart off the baby to do the needling.

And do not argue.

Baby's have been delivered for all of human history... only recently did humans suddenly discover the need for a "licensed doctor" to "help". Four of mine were born at home. FAR better experience than using the system.

Then you can do whatever you want, or don't do whatever you don't want to. Record it in your family bible, that stands up in law. Then print a nice certificate with your color ink jet if you feel the need. If "they" don't know, then they won't hassle you.
