For those that don't get enough good news:
*
Foods as Medicine
HEADACHE? EAT FISH!
Eat plenty of fish -- fish oil helps prevent headaches.
So does ginger, which reduces inflammation and pain.
HAY FEVER? EAT YOGURT!
Eat lots of yogurt before pollen season.
Also-eat honey from your area (local region) daily.
TO PREVENT STROKE DRINK TEA!
Prevent buildup of fatty deposits on artery walls with regular doses of tea. (actually, tea suppresses my appetite and keeps the pounds from invading....Green tea is great for our immune system)!
INSOMNIA (CAN'T SLEEP?) HONEY!
Use honey as a tranquilizer and sedative.
ASTHMA? EAT ONIONS!!!!
Eating onions helps ease constriction of bronchial tubes. (when I was young, my mother would make onion packs to place on our chest, helped the respiratory ailments and actually made us breathe better).
ARTHRITIS? EAT FISH, TOO!!
Salmon, tuna, mackerel and sardines actually prevent arthritis. (fish has omega oils, good for our immune system)
UPSET STOMACH?* BANANAS - GINGER!!!!!
Bananas will settle an upset stomach.
Ginger will cure morning sickness and nausea.
BLADDER INFECTION? DRINK CRANBERRY JUICE!!!!
High-acid cranberry juice controls harmful bacteria.
BONE PROBLEMS? EAT PINEAPPLE!!!
Bone fractures and osteoporosis can be prevented by the manganese in pineapple.
PREMENSTRUAL SYNDROME? EAT CORNFLAKES!!!!
Women can ward off the effects of PMS with cornflakes, which help reduce depression, anxiety and fatigue.
MEMORY PROBLEMS? EAT OYSTERS!
Oysters help improve your mental functioning by supplying much-needed zinc.
COLDS? EAT GARLIC!
Clear up that stuffy head with garlic. (remember, garlic lowers cholesterol, too.)
COUGHING? USE RED PEPPERS!!
A substance similar to that found in the cough syrups is found in hot red pepper. Use red (cayenne) pepper with caution-it can irritate your tummy.
BREAST CANCER?* EAT Wheat, bran and cabbage
Helps to maintain estrogen at healthy levels.
LUNG CANCER? EAT DARK GREEN AND ORANGE AND VEGGIES!!!
A good antidote is beta carotene, a form of Vitamin A found in dark green and orange vegetables.
ULCERS? EAT CABBAGE ALSO!!!
Cabbage contains chemicals that help heal both gastric and duodenal ulcers.
DIARRHEA? EAT APPLES!
Grate an apple with its skin, let it turn brown and eat it to cure this condition. (Bananas are good for this ailment)
CLOGGED ARTERIES? EAT AVOCADO!
Mono unsaturated fat in avocados lowers cholesterol.
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE? EAT CELERY AND OLIVE OIL!!!
Olive oil has been shown to lower blood pressure.
Celery contains a chemical that lowers pressure too.
BLOOD SUGAR IMBALANCE? EAT BROCCOLI AND PEANUTS!!!
The chromium in broccoli and peanuts helps regulate insulin and blood sugar.
Kiwi: Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, Vitamin E & fiber. It's Vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.
Apple: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low Vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of Vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke.
Strawberry: Protective fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protects the body from cancer causing, blood vessels clogging free radicals. (Actually, any berry is good for you..they're high in anti-oxidants and they actually keep us young.........blueberries are the best and very versatile in the health field........they get rid of all the free-radicals that invade our bodies)
Orange: Sweetest medicine. Taking 2 - 4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessen the risk of colon cancer

Someone sent me an email, so I thought I'd post it here so I wouldn't lose it.
Those are NOT homeopathic, though.

Curcumin (turmeric) allows the blood to clot normally so a clotting factor test is useless.* The way you tell you are taking too much is when you start to bruise easily.* A friend of mine thought if a little was good a whole lot would be better and he was bruising all over his arm, so I told him to cut back at least half.* You can bleed internally if you take too much like any blood thinner.
*
Be sure and mix it*50/50 with ginger and 250 mg of each*should be adequate.* You will notice the difference in bleeding but the blood will clot nearly as well.* The only effective*way to determine the effect of curcumin as far as I know is to look at live blood samples for red cell distribution.* Clotting and Stacking is generally observed in poorly distributed red cells.* When the Russians do CBC (white cell) counts, they observe the clumping and stacking of red cells and if noted document it.* So far they have never seen it in my blood where I take curcumin everyday.
*
Look on the net and see if there is anyone near you who does the live blood review.* I help a doctor once who did it and he invited me to see it.* I even took my friends and you will discover things you never knew existed.* For instance one friend had black bumps all over his red cells unlike me.* Another had a long worms in his blood, obviously parasites.* Clumping and stacking was common and was always corrected with turmeric and ginger after a few weeks.
*
For parasites eat a few cloves*(spice) regularly and see if you can find candied whole*green walnuts from Georgia in the grocery store.* They are delicious but expensive.* The alternative is a tincture of green walnut shells, which I made myself as I knew where there were several trees and picked up the walnuts that fell prematurely.* You just use the green part of the husk and not any dark brown part .* The cloves kill the eggs and the green walnut shells kill the adults.* You can use Dr. Clarks zapper as well which costs about a dollar to build your self.* You can the schematic off the web or ask me to post it to the group.
*
Hawthorne is sold in all the Pharmacies in Russia and Belarus.* I think the value of it is in its diuretic properties as it is a natural diuretic.* They sell the berries which you make a alcohol*tincture out of, powder and boil as tea and they*use it in various heart syrups and balsams (alcohol tinctures,*including medicinal*wine in Russia).* I have used all these products with success.*
*
Horsetail is usually another heart ingredient in most remedies as it is a rich source of silicon and is found all over the country in wet areas.* I harvest it and make a tea which I put in the fridge to add to dark red grape juice for the flavor of the horsetail is not very pleasing on its own.* Horsetail is also sometimes called joint grass and looks like a pine tree in miniature, growing about four feet tall generally depending on how much water it gets.

that last site says to do the kidney cleanse first. I have always read to do the LIVER cleanse first, then the kidney cleanse :hmmm Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe i have it backwards but I would's swore.

Want a good one for fevers:
Cut an onion in half, put the portion with the rings touch the heel of the foot. Tie on with sock or bandage. Helps to put a sock on top so you don't loose it. Go to bed. It'll break in a few hours. I speak from experience with my whole family!

On the tooth decay/cavities - I have found that Black walnut works AWESOME! Not only is it good at killing the cavity, but it restores enamel, gets rid of plaque and gingivitis, and restores to holes in the teeth. Brush with black walnut powder. you could just buy the capsules and open them up to put the powder on the toothbrush. Do this after you brush with your regular toothpaste. I had an awesome link on it once but can't find it anymore :( I read a testimony of one woman who hadn't been to the dentist for years. Brushed with black walnut for 2 weeks prior to the visit and dentist told her that her teeth were better than anyone's coming in there on a regular basis. No plaque whatsoever!! I brush with it when I notice my teeth starting to get sensitive. It's also a natural whitener ;) a recipie for ggod toothpaste too: http://www.estherslegacy.homestead.c...STERECIPE.html
