That's a very un-sui-juris attitude. I would expect most people around here to tell the gubment to get their paws off of MSG, nicotine, abstinthe (sp?), pot, cocaine, pcp, alcohol, etc.

After all, if you're a free-born-non-federalized soverign citizen, what right does the government have to tell you that you can't spend all day smoking crack?
It is within the purview of state and federal government's to regulate commerce.

The injury occurs in the NON-DISCLOSURE of what goes into the food, and the effects of those substances on the body. (ie: cigarettes/tobacco)

Non-disclosure is akin to lying. (false witness)

By the same token, if you want to drink antifreeze and destroy your liver, by all means, knock yourself out. I will defend your right to choose. However, you, likewise, have an obligation to DISCLOSE your behavior to your insurance company, so they can decide, whether or not, they want to continue to carry you as a client, as your non-disclosure, of said intent/behavior, would likely cause an injury to them.

So I quite agree...

Absolutely none !
Although, I seriously doubt a "free-born-non-federalized soverign citizen" would waste thier time doing so.

For HIS Glory,

Hey! There's eeeevil MSG in my food that I bought poisoning me. Why won't the government protect me from those evil people who sell me food with MSG in it!!
Government: Just keepin' off ya'lls backs.
Freedomless: When I said I wanted freedom, I didn't mean to include the Federal Government's regulation of food... just all... that other stuff...
Government: I give up. You're being put on the next boat to Haiti.

Well, if it's the Feds, then you can only regulate interstate commerce.

Really, what I find so funny is that people can scream about encroaching federal and state govermnent regulations until something bad happens to them.

Bucko, I re-read both Akira's and Freedomless posts and you wound up putting words in there mouth or manufactured misdirected inferences of what you thought they were saying; and then came up with your own reply.

Settin' up the STRAWMAN and blowin' it down.

I expected better from you. So disappointing

Well, aside from the manufactured quote for the sake of humor, I didn't really think so. I was just trying to figure out why they were arguing for more government regulation, which it seemed to me they were, and they never denied.

I guess I'll make it more simple. I won't start a new thread with a poll, but here it goes:

Question: Should the government (federal, state, county or municipal) regulate the ingrediants that companys put in food.

[ ] Yes

[ ] No

If the answer is yes, it just seems completely arbitrary to me that we want the government off our backs in 99 different ways, execpt when we have an allergic reaction to MSG, then we want the nanny state to intervene on our behalf. It's totally inconsistant thinking, which I pointed out. If people would just own up to it, that would be fine, but their sense of pride won't let them.

I'm sure Freedomless and Akira appreciate the help, but Akira can hold his own in a debate.

Buck09,

I check everything myself when it comes to my health. I have learned that ingredients are purposely put into products to keep us going to the doctor. If this were not so then all hydroginated oils would be removed from the products we consume. There is overwhelming evidence that hydroginated oils make us ill, yet this remains because there is more interest in shelf life that the lives of those who consume it.

There is big business in keeping people ill. Find cures and doctors are out of business. The FDA is not interested in the truth and I have seen much with regard to them fabricating lies about natural products not being able to heal. I have seen healing first hand with natural remedies. Natural products cannot be patented like the synthetic drugs the pharmaceutical companies produce. The synthetic drugs have dangerous side effects that natural products do not. People actually get well on natural remedies because YHWH put them here for our benefit.

I have a doctor that will not prescribe statin drugs for the simple reason she has had patients die from taking them. I love this doctor because she will use natural remedies. Many other doctors are also jumping on the band wagon, if you will. The biggest problem is that doctors want to help, but they have not been trained in nutrition. The is one of the biggest reasons people get sick. Put synthetics drugs into you body and you will have health issues.

People are being misinformed everyday about what they consume. This is a fact. The AMA and the FDA are the main culprits in this misinformation. Both are government controlled. You said in another thread that things are getting better. What dream world are you living in. All you need do is look about you and you know this is not true, but you keep on trying to convince yourself and others of this.

the question is flawed.

the questions should be

Q: Do we, the Private Citizens, WE the People, want our slave the governments to protect the food source
from soul-less, heart-less, lifeless corpoational fictions from abusing the food supply and ultimately us
just for the sake of more profit?

altho more verbose, it's a still a better question.
