MSG and the Deceit

No wonder the percentage of obese Americans is on the rise. It is also happening in Europe.

So much easier to blame it on the unseen other than to put down the fatty foods, isn't it? That's the american way!

If you look at some of the posts on this site, you will see that the controllers of the government are allowing products on the market, for self gain, profits, etc, that are harmful to our bodies.

I have know for a long time that MSG is harmful and did not eat Chinese food due to the fact that most, if not all, of it has MSG. Cigarettes are addictive and have been exposed, alcohol can be addictive (we are aware of this) but to put something in our food and say it is safe is fraud.

Now that these products are being used in Europe, that percentages of over weight people is on the rise. I have a 7 year old neice, over weight people are rare in our family, who has a weight problem. Her mother now has an over weight problem and does not over eat. I can attest to the fact. We you see this happening you can be at a loss for what needs to be done. The doctors can find no reason for either of their weight problems.

So... what you're saying is that the federal government SHOULD be regulating all those things that are bad for you, to protect you?

That's a very un-sui-juris attitude. I would expect most people around here to tell the gubment to get their paws off of MSG, nicotine, abstinthe (sp?), pot, cocaine, pcp, alcohol, etc.

After all, if you're a free-born-non-federalized soverign citizen, what right does the government have to tell you that you can't spend all day smoking crack?

Only in reference to chemical, man made products. The government allowed these chemicals to be put into food products and should be held responsible. That was all the above reference was covering.

So in essence, you're asking the government to protect you from people who sell you food with bad stuff in it, rather than allowing people to make their own decisions about what chemicals they want to ingest or not...

Where exactly is that one of the enumerated powers in the constitution? Why should the goverment be your babysitter to keep you from putting bad stuff in your mouth?

I sure don't need you as my babysitter. You offer no value to any of the posts and have made it a point to post unproductive statements to my posts.
