While Oil of Oregano is quite a formidable antibiotic, Kefir appears to be quite an amazing probiotic. I've tried it myself and I really felt quite invigorated the first time I drank it. I didnt expect it at all. I figured it would be like yogurt and no more. But I took at as alternate and organic source for calcium rather than regular milk. Its called "Kefir" meaning "good feeling" and its named that for a reason. Kefir is lacto-fermented or cultured milk rather pasteurized milk. Its said to be a cousin of yogurt.

Generally regarding probiotics:
http://www.mercola.com/2004/sep/29/p...s_benefits.htm.
"The quart of kefir has far more active bacteria than you can possibly purchase in any probiotics supplement and it is very economically as you can reuse the kefir from the original quart of milk about ten times before you need to start a new culture pack so one starter package of kefir granules can convert about 50 gallons of milk to kefir." -From the 'Mercola' site.
