Killer Flu

About mabey three months ago I contracted a flu from my brother. This thing ripped my guts out over the next 24 hrs. Threw everything up until I almost went to the hospital just to get rehydrated, and after that diarhea started. It only lasted about 30hrs. then seemed to subside.

Now my brother, me, and the people who gave it to my brother all are having serious appetite problems. None of us can sit down and finish even one meal without a nausea feeling creeping up.

I tried to "power through" the nausea feeling once and threw up after the next bite.

I am totally perplexed as to what is happening or how to fix it. Does anyone know about this flu? If so your knowledge would be appreciated.

Prue water with ½ freshly squeezed lemon and a pinch of capsicum (cayenne red pepper) added; taken first thing every morning. This will not only help kickstart your digestive system, which has probably shutdown, it will alkalize the blood which will also help your body eliminate any bugs that do not belong there. The capsicum is for stimulating your digestive and circulatory systems and is very good for the heart. Also I would suggest oil of oregano (biblical Hyssop) from your local health food store (follow directions) to help kill off any possible remaining flu virus, or at least to have on hand for any future emergencies

Peace,
Mark

I don't know about the above remedy (especially since alkalize is to make basic, not acidic like lemon. The chemistry term may be mis-applied to a great remedy) but it sounds as though you have become the host of an intestinal bug.

The Jews fast completely from yeast for one week out of the year by tradition. In addition I suggest abstaining from all sugar because yeast loves sugar to grow. An alternative might be to flood your system with a known fungus - Kombucha. Kind of like overpopulating with a dominant species.

Another alternative is to amplify the week-long yeast fast with yeast excrement - grain alcohol. Drink a steady but regulated regimen on Everclear at the end of the week; yes... get pickled. The alcohol killed off the yeast in the fermentation process and will do the same in your intestines.

Please stay away from the "Submit Reply" button while applying the last suggestion Codee.

Though it may sound contredictory, I have read from many sources that lemon has an alkaline affect on the body--do some research.

Peace,
Mark

The problem may be that I misunderstand the term alkaline to mean basic and not acidic. The article here is with you on your point that alkaline may just mean Ph imbalance either way.

It seems that everyone around me has been coming down with this flu. A neighbor had this problem for 3 weeks.

I haven't been bothered by it. But that is probably due to the healthy lifestyle I've adopted. I have a daily regimen of I P, F B and T.J. Clarks... among other practices that assist my body in warding off such problems.

If you are experiencing such problems... definitely stay away from the cola drinks. A can of soda pop can reduce your bodies immune system by 50% for up to 6 hours. Your body needs all the help it can get.

My post is not meant to take Codee's situation litely, but I have a question for Mark.

Mark, in your reference to capsicum, specifically cayenne, is it just the cayenne or, can it be habanero?

I have been reading that cayenne is supposed to be very good for many things, but I have not read anything that says habanero peppers can not do the same thing.

I ask becuase I grow my own habanero and yellow hungarian wax peppers.

"I ask becuase I grow my own habanero" Any extras? I've been known to eat them myself. My favorite pepper! It only takes three to make a pot of beans just right. They have to make the best poppers I've ever had. There flavor is just out of this world. Done up right, they make great salsa. Hard to believe they could be good for you, however, as they taste way to good.

Sorry Big Al, although they seem to just keep popping up, there will not be alot from just four plants. Next year, if possible, I would like to expand that to at least eight plants.
I agree, for the heat they produce, they sure do taste great. I'm also growing yellow wax hungarian peppers, though not the same heat, they sure taste just as good.

Ever hear of the "Nagajalakeno"?? (sp?)

It is the "hottest" pepper in the known world.
