Land Trust

Is there any benefit to using Land Trusts? I am thinking asset protection but I am wondering if it would also be part of the method in getting off the tax payroll???

I can think of more useful and fun ways to waste the amount of money they want. A land trust is not going to insulate you from anything, and as to anonymity, in five minutes anyone with a modicum of sense can find out who the actual owner is, so no security there, and just because it is in a trust does not insulate you from liability or taxes, contrary to what they would like to complain, so what is the point.

ND, are you saying no to any kind of land trust then?

And, is there a better option?

Mostly it will depend on your financial situation, but thinking you can use a trust to avoid creditors or taxes is a waste of effort and money, it doesn't work. All it requires is the creditor/tax authority to go into court and show that you are the beneficial owner and the trust ceases to matter.
