Now all you have to do is cross reference to your so called "STATE".
Ahh the freedom of information.

Yes... it would appear that the state of washington, does offer a portion of their state owned lands to the population for a price. The price, however, is steeper than one would imagine.

By recording the newly acquirred Title in the office of the recorder of deeds, it would then become just like any other land owned by a citizen. It would be subject to taxes, rules, regulations, the whim of legislation based on the concerns of special interest groups.

What the state of washington is failing to tell the people, is the simple fact that their intent is to increase their own tax base. They are in need of more revenue and therefore, they intend to suck the people into a deal where the people would be requirred to give up more of their hard earned money. State owned lands, even when sold over to the population, are a far cry different from lands granted through a US Patent.

I suppose the real question that you need to ask, is whether or not you desire to 'own' land that someone else is going to regulate.

Jerry.

Here is a suggested modification for the withdrawel form. The letter is written in real time. It avoids the word "real" (royal) property and substitutes "land."

To the "register of titles" in the __your County, Washington Republic:

I, (or we), __________ , the undersigned registered owners(s) in fee simple of the following described land situated in the _your_ County, Washington Republic, to wit:

(here insert the description of the land),

do hereby make application for delivery of the title describing said land being withdrawn out of registration.

Witness my (or our) hand and seal this _________ day of _____________, in the year of our Lord two thousand five.

________________________
Applicants signature.

This document is the preparation of the undersigned.
Before the Almighty God and under his statutes, I declare that the foregoing is the truth in accord with the best of my knowledge.

NOTE: "registrar of titles" is not capitalized. It is not the title of an office; - it is a job desciption. Substitute the name of the office that performs that function

Nothing was said about buying state owned land.
one more note; you have to have your land paid in full, meaning you dont owe for it, just paying property taxes on it. You cannot be in debt for it.

Greetings,

We too, modified RCW 65.12 et seq, Application for Withdraw and Certificate of Withdrawal to achieve the intent of your proposed modification. Upon attempt to present Application, we were told that very few properties in Washington have ever been registered under the torrens system. We had them check our land and were told it was not listed under that system but was in the general property registry. This was in county of Thurston.

Bob
