Searching for Grantee

Concerning bringing the land patent up in my name: On my warrantee deed for my land, it says "...sells and conveys..." but does not say "grants and/or assigns." So,

I am researching the grantee, who may no longer exist. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do if the grantee cannot be contacted or no longer exists? What if it was a corporation which is now defunked?

Thanks-FF

You don't "bring it up in your name" -- you assert your rights in the land patent as an assign... that is all.

Your ultimate goal is to seek allodial title.

Thanks, Ice.

To be clear, in order to assert my rights in the land patent as an assign, it is not necessary for the language of "...grants and/or assigns..." to exist on my warrantee deed. Is that right?

Then, in order to seek allodial title, how do I assert my rights? Do I file the land patent paperwork, and wait 60 days for a challenge? Is a quiet title process needed in this case?

A simple affidavit asserts your rights in the land patent.

Please see the Summa Corp. case cites in the "land patent" document located in the download section. You will see, if you read it critically, that there really isn't much more that you need to do to have rights in the land patent that is already in place.

Land Patents are something I've been wanting to learn from beginner A-Z, any place good to get brought up to speed on this? I own currently 5 houses and land, and would like to secure it, and stop paying property taxes which I consider to be fraudulent in nature, and theft by extortion.

Start with the Land Patent document in the download section and read the threads contained here... there are some good suggestions as to where to get some info on this subject.
