did someone express an interest in building one of these fuelless energy machines? I thought I saw a post here or on the engine modifications thread that someone was going to go for it in a couple of months but I can't find it.

Some of us here mentioned doing some experimentation and I mentioned I am planning some experimentation with hydrogen on a lawnmower engine, as well as biodiesel. I have several other projects in process right now and time is limited; what with posting here, and all the other normal life stuff going on.

In my infantile tech knowledge, I am of the opinion to always go for the most accessible, practical strength and exploit it to the max (whatever it is)

I find Biodiesel to be the most sound approach in that one can make the stuff pretty easily and there are 1800 RPM generators wehich can power a house

A most logical assessment Weis.

I guess we could get an old ford truck but we're lookin for a smaller diesel at the moment. one out of an old generator or something.

The other stuff for the Hydrogen is laying around in spare parts and one can purchase a small tank of H2 for testing purposes. I'm just curious to actually see it work.

The key is to Think, design, experiment, record, analyze, and repeat until a viable solution is found. It is not in the interest of entrenched organizations to innovate as they have a "captive customer base" unless there is some major competetion. Since there is little in the Oil industry I believe solutions will be found by the independent scientists and backyard shade tree experimenters. Whether they make the results widely available or not is another issue.

FYI, I saw at Lowe's a 20,00Kw generator for sale which seemed to be sold with the breaker box that would run on propane or natural gas. I was on the run so I didn't look to see any more details other than the price of 3000 FRNs. I know you can get something cheaper but I thought it was neat that the electrical was sold with it.
