Some will remember seeing these old and rusting through most of small American towns from years gone by. I never knew they were still in business until I was driving down a rural road bout a week ago & I witnessed one that looked new and it was pumping water. I stopped asked and here it is.

When I lived in Iowa we used one of these wind pumps. I always hated forgetting to turn it back on and having the reservoir run dry. Gotta check these things once in a while. Priming the pump really sucks. It was definately better than what I have now though.
