Unhappy Need to vent....

Why do I feel like I'm the only one who sees what's coming?

Overhearing the news today, they're talking about how not only are the National Guard/Reserve units undermanned and lacking eqiupment, but that all of them are being ordered to leave gear behind when coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan.

The emphasis is on IN A NATIONAL EMERGENCY, THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE NEEDED SUPPORT?

Hello? Anyone else paying attention here. Drain our resources in pointless wars then what happens when we need help?

Wait for it....

Of course! Let's ask foreign nations to send troops and materials to help restore order after a "disaster."

Of course, foreign troops won't care about the Constitution or civil rights....they will do as ordered by the person they are told to report to in the USA.

And everyone goes about as if it's business as usual. :(

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.

It does feel that way often, but every time it feels that way, ask yourself:

Would I rather be part of the mindless mass?

Hang in there.

Most people don't want to know the truth. You have been given a gift that often feels like a curse.

I know, because I feel the same way.

Come one folks, what ever happened to that great rugged individualist spirit of america and local people banding together to take care of themselves in an emergency? The founding fathers didn't whine and complain to the government they NEEDED SUPPORT. Yes they asked France to assist since France was also pissed at The King, but their decision was not based upon some government giving them assistance.

WATCH THIS VIDEO: It is Aaron Broussard President of Jefferson Parich Louisiana. If you have any feeling at all it will make you physically ill, SO BE WARNED! http://www.michaelmoore.com/_images/splash/aaron_broussard.mov

He states that FEMA Actually cut emergency comm. lines!
WalMart who Donated supplies and water had convoys turnd away BY FEMA!

But wat makes me most Ill is that With all the evidence in front of this guy that the government is not there to protect but is all about one thig . . . COMMAND & CONTROL, he still demands FEMA should have more control, be a cabinet level position, and Starts crying at the end for someone to send help!

PEOPLE FROM Surrounding States Went with boats, FEMA TURNED THEM AWAY.

I read a news article where 3 doctors who were not FEMA Authorized were taken by armed guards to a Chopper and flown out, left 6 patients they were treating, and 3 died as a result!

This is your government at work and you want help from them?

The Sheriff in Jefferson Parish (who is probably the only true protector of the people since he is an elected peace officer) Had to go in restore communications and place ARMED GUARDS to keep FEMA AND DHS from comming back in and disconnecting the comm. lines.

Sagas, Maybe you didnt understand the original post or take it in the same manner that I did.

My impression was, when the crap hits the fan (or when the people in power of our goverment make up some bull disaster to steal more of our freedom) they will be able to say "we need to help our citizens they cant do anything for themselves". The National Guard is undersupply and short on men. Lets help our poor defenseless citizens by shipping in UN Troops. We'll call them Peace Keepers so as not to raise any eyebrows.

That is the basic manner that I took it anyway.

I would take this with a grain of salt. I have not kept track of the details but i have heard that Broussard had been caught lying about different things so I am not sure who to believe.

Fazer,

maybe I took it in the wrong manner. I'm just sick of people whining they need government to help them. It seems everywhere you turn now days some one is crying for the government to help them.

Look at my tag line; what you said in the quote above goes good with it.
